Head of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)


Key Accountabilities


• To impact HSE cultural change through sustained, continuous improvement plans for the Hoechst by developing synergy in the EHS infrastructure of the organization. This includes standardizaing all the SOPs for horizontal replication of best practices across the organization.


• Implement policy of "No Harm to People. Assets & Environment" by eliminating fire incidents etc.


• Ensure timely consolidation, review, reporting, recordkeeping, standardization, and analysis of


EHS statistics (EHS Dashboard) across group and providing meaningful/valuable insights out of


it. Track the number of incidents (LTIR, TRIR, Fire and re-evaluate the controls for mitigation of


risks.


• Identify requirements of EHS trainings and conduct/arrange the same. Also develop training plan for Road Safety and ensure annual and refresher trainings for the Sales and Marketing staff.


• Develop and revise Emergency Response Plans and Contingency Plans as necessary. Also identify requirements for emergency response training, resources and exercises across the organization.


• Oversee the Sustainability projects, cascaded by the Group.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors


• Engineer/M.Sc.


Minimum 10 years' experience in EHS (especially Industrial Plant Site) with


at least 2 years in a Health Care or Pharmaceutical Industry. At least 5 years spent in a leadership role with good presentation and communication skills.


• Expertise in EHS Management System, Risk Management, Industrial Safety. and Accident Investigation will be an added advantage.


• Well-proficient in data analytics with strong attention to detail & and On- site Auditing.


Professional Certifications in EHS (Nebosh IGC. ASP/CSP)


Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining EHS management system e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
